Some of the paintings I care about most don’t begin in my studio — they begin in places I’ve traveled. Paint & Wander is where I document those moments, and the connection between travel and the paintings that come from them.
I’m a New York–based artist with a lifelong connection to creativity and visual storytelling. While I explored art early on, I began pursuing painting more intentionally in recent years. The places I’ve experienced shape my work. From the rugged landscapes of Norway and the Scottish Highlands to the coastal light of San Diego.
I work from my own photography, using images captured during my travels as the foundation for each piece. This allows me to return to those moments and reinterpret them through color, texture, and perspective. Oil painting allows me to build depth and atmosphere, while watercolor offers movement and spontaneity. Both reflect how differently places can feel.
While my artistic journey began with detailed animal portraits, it has evolved into expansive landscapes shaped by travel and memory. These pieces reflect not only where I’ve been, but the feeling of being there.
This space isn’t just about finished work. It’s about where it begins — the places, the light, and the moments that stay with you.
